As we embark on a new academic year, I’m excited by the impact our people, programs and partnerships will have on the students and communities we serve in Los Angeles and beyond.
This summer saw some exciting news as a national institute was named after President’s Professor Martha McCarthy, one of our Teach For America alums won a pair of national teaching awards, and an adjunct faculty member was appointed to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
All of these achievements highlight our connection to the real world of schools, where we bring theory and practice together for a more socially just future for all students.
