HEAD OF PRODUCTION ADMINISTRATOR
As Head of Production Administrator, Ken Ornstein oversees student productions, manages the technical staff and facilities, as well as working in conjunction with the faculty. Ken has worked in film and television production since 1980 (before cell phones and personal computers). He has spent the last 25 years working as a Line Producer and Unit Production Manager for television pilots and series in both the single and multi-camera formats. Prior to that, Ken worked as an Assistant Director on feature films, television series and commercials. Ken has won two Emmy awards and been nominated seven times for his work on Everybody Loves Raymond. He has received two Directors Guild of America nominations for his work on the television series Ellen and the Woody Allen film Hannah and Her Sisters as well as two Producer Guild of America nominations for his work on Everybody Loves Raymond. Among the many directors Ken has either produced for or worked as an assistant director are: Carrie Brownstein, Woody Allen, Mel Gibson, Barry Sonnefeld, Danny DeVito, Kathryn Bigelow, Nick Stoller, Walt Becker, Brett Ratner, Andy Cadiff and David Trainer. Ken has taught at Chapman University as well as guest lectured at his alma mater, The University of Florida. Ken is an active member of the Producers Guild of America mentoring program as well as a VIP guest lecturer for their episodic job forums. He is a longtime member of the Directors Guild of America. Ken is married to his college sweetheart and together with her raised two amazing men.
