The Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) has awarded 2016 Gold Crown awards to Loyola Marymount University’s Los Angeles Loyolan student-run newspaper and The Tower yearbook.
With the dual Gold Crowns, LMU became the only university in the nation to win Gold Crowns for both its newspaper and its yearbook. The CSPA’s highest honor, the Gold Crown award celebrates excellence in design, photography, concept, coverage and writing.
The Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts especially congratulates psychology major Karis Addo-Quaye, editor-in-chief of the Los Angeles Loyolan, and English major Keira Wight, editor-in-chief of the Tower.
