Loyola Marymount University has received another record-breaking crop of applications for first-year admission, with more than 18,000 high school seniors submitting their materials in hopes of joining the Class of 2023.
Prospective students hailed from 49 states and the District of Columbia, plus 120 countries from around the world. The university intends to enroll 1,475 first-year students in the fall.
Interest in attending LMU has risen rapidly. The total number of first-year applications received by the university increased 40 percent over the past five years.
“Clearly, more and more students are impressed by LMU’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and personalized education,” said Vice Provost for Enrollment Management Maureen Weatherall. “We always welcome interest from students looking to bring their ideas, intellect, and passion, and to join us as we create the world we want to live in.”
