When Pope Francis makes his historic address to Congress on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7 a.m. PDT, students, faculty and members of the Jesuit Community at Loyola Marymount University will gather in the community room of Sacred Heart Chapel to watch the live broadcast.
After the address, attendees and Jesuit theologians will be available to share their insights about the pope’s remarks with the media.
Loyola Marymount University is the largest Catholic University in Southern California and the only Jesuit university in the region.
Pope Francis’ appearance before a joint session of Congress is part of his four-day visit to the U.S. that includes stops in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia.
