LMU’s Real Estate Alumni Group (REAG) hosted its fourth annual “Meet & Greet” on Thursday, June 12th at McCormick & Schmick’s in El Segundo. Over 25 students and alumni with an interest in real estate attended the event, which kicked off with a happy hour.
BUILDING A NETWORK
Attendees from a variety of backgrounds – including commercial real estate, advisory services and capital markets – mingled and shared perspectives on the real estate brokerage industry, investment opportunities and private equity trends. Several guests were there to learn more about starting new real estate ventures, some were looking for new partners, and all were interested in making new connections and building their professional network.
GROUP BENEFITS
“It was a fun event and everyone really enjoyed themselves,” said Chris Manning, professor of finance and real estate at LMU. “People were engaged in small group conversations the entire evening – with a few advancing their real estate career outlook and investment goals.”
“Our group is focused on enhancing networking and educational opportunities as well as having a strong desire for continued success,” said Edgard Asensio, LMU REAG co-founder (EMBA ’12). “We are able to utilize our skills, talents and what we learned in the program directly to our careers and new ventures.”
GET INVOLVED
REAG brings together real estate and finance professionals, investors, alumni and students for an opportunity to network and leverage collective knowledge regarding real estate market conditions, deal structuring and working together on projects.
