LMU and the Los Angeles Rams officially kicked off the 2025-26 Mentorship Program on Oct. 28 with an on-campus networking event that brought students and industry leaders together.
Held in the Charles Von der Ahe Suite at Hannon Library, the kickoff marked the beginning of a five-month journey for 56 LMU student mentees paired with 44 executives from the Los Angeles Rams and SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park. The evening was designed to foster meaningful connections, with students meeting their mentors for the first time, setting goals, and laying the foundation for one-on-one guidance throughout the semester.

The LMU + Rams Mentorship Program offers students exclusive access to professionals across marketing, media, partnerships, operations, law, government affairs, and live entertainment. Beyond regular meetings, mentees will also have the opportunity to shadow their mentors at this year’s LMU Day at the Rams game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Dec. 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., gaining firsthand experience in the fast-paced world of sports and entertainment. Mentors and mentees will also come together in the spring for an end-of-the-year culminating celebration at Rams facility.
“Being new to the sports industry, what interested me the most about the Mentorship Program was the opportunity to learn from someone who is actively working in the industry, and who can give me insight into not only their role, but also other people’s roles and how they all work together for the betterment of the organization,” said program mentee and communication studies major Kai Vaughn ’27. “I knew this kind of experience would open my eyes to different fields and possibilities in the sports industry and make me feel more confident in what I wanted to focus on pursuing in my future career.”
Part of LMU’s groundbreaking partnership with the Los Angeles Rams, the LMU + Rams Mentorship Program reflects LMU’s commitment to real-world learning, leadership development, and expanding career pathways for students passionate about the sports and entertainment industries.
“As a proud LMU Loyola Law School graduate, I am biased in saying that the partnership between the Los Angeles Rams and LMU is a perfect fit given our shared commitment in bringing real life experience to current students and developing the next generation of civically engaged leaders,” said program mentor and Rams’ Director of Government Affairs, Maria Camacho. “The collaboration between students and L.A. Rams staff and executives creates a path for open dialogue and sparks creative ideas, helping to elevate the sports and entertainment industry amid the diverse landscape of industries in the Los Angeles region.”
