Loyola Marymount University’s vigorous efforts to serve transfer students were recognized by being named to Phi Theta Kappa’s 2025 Transfer Honor Roll, which recognizes excellence in developing and supporting dynamic, innovative pathways for community college transfer students.
“We’re honored to be recognized by Phi Theta Kappa for our commitment to creating accessible, supportive pathways for transfer students,” said Gicel Martell de Zardeneta, director of Transfer Admission and Enrollment Services in Enrollment Management. “Transfer students bring valuable perspectives, experiences, and energy to our community, and we are proud to champion their success at LMU.”
LMU has welcomed more than 500 transfer students to campus each of the past four academic years.
Phi Theta Kappa focuses on providing support for the continued success of the nation’s top community college students, while also working to support and strengthen the nation’s community colleges. This year, Phi Theta Kappa selected 251 colleges and universities for this recognition.
