Graduate degrees offered by Loyola Marymount University’s College of Business Administration and School of Education have been recognized by U.S. News and World Report, after rising in that publication’s annual ranking of graduate school programs.
The business school’s part-time MBA program is now ranked 39th nationwide, up from 58 this time a year ago. The School of Education, which offers credentials and master’s and doctoral degrees, is now ranked 70th across the country—its fourth consecutive annual rise. The education school is ranked third among Jesuit colleges nationally and third among independent colleges in California.
“This is a great recognition for the education, research and collaborative partnerships that our school offers,” said Shane Martin, dean of the School of Education. “Seeing our school rise in these rankings is a testament to how much of an impact our faculty, staff, students and alumni are making in the educational community.”
In the College of Business Administration, the Entrepreneurship program was ranked 14th, and the Accounting and Marketing programs were both ranked 19th.
“These rankings reflect the commitment and investment of the CBA community to academic excellence,” said Dennis Draper, dean of LMU’s College of Business Administration. “In addition, it is testimony to the high caliber of our MBA program and the students who enroll. This is not only an achievement in which we can take pride, but it is also something that serves as a reminder of the importance of everything we do.”
