Loyola Marymount University was again named one of the best colleges in America by The Princeton Review, appearing in the 2019 edition of that organization’s guide, The Best 384 Colleges.
In addition to appearing in the overall guide, LMU appeared in the “Colleges that Pay You Back” specialty list—for being among the schools offering students the “best bang for their buck”—and was included among “Green Colleges” for its commitment to sustainability.
The university also ranked in the top 25 in several categories: Best Science Lab Facilities, Most Beautiful Campus, Most Engaged in Community Service, Top 25 Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs, and “Impact Schools”—colleges singled out for student ratings about service opportunities and related issues.
The guide’s lists are based on ratings and interviews from current and former students, who spoke highly of LMU’s student community, support for service, and commitment to the success of every member of the Lion family. As one contented student summed it up, “The students at LMU are people I consider my family. You can feel the warm presence in the air as soon as you step onto campus, and it doesn’t go away.”
