The holiday season has arrived and Loyola Marymount University continues a more than 50-year tradition as the choruses present their gala Christmas concerts on the Westchester campus. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 9 in the Sacred Heart Chapel.
The concerts will feature the Consort Singers, Women’s Chamber Ensemble and Concert Choir performing seasonal favorites as well as Jonathan Willcocks’ “Magnificat,” which will feature senior voice majors Jenna DiAmbrosio, Dasia Intil and Mariah Maglalang.
Mary C. Breden, D.M.A., director of choral activities, will conduct the two performances. The concerts are presented by the Department of Music in LMU’s College of Communication and Fine Arts.
Tickets cost $15 for Thursday, Dec. 7, and $15-$20 for Saturday, Dec. 9. Discounted rates are available to faculty and staff members and seniors, and LMU students can purchase a $5 ticket for either performance at the door with a student I.D.
