Resignations. Mounting vacancies. Remote and hybrid work. What does it all mean for employers, recruiters and job seekers?
A panel of experts, including Loyola Marymount University’s Branden Grimmett, tackled these topics and others at the Los Angeles Business Journal’s virtual event, Economic Trends 2022. The forum on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, featured panels of regional experts sharing their insights on the workforce, the economy and real estate.
“College students have been juggling in-person and remote learning over the past 23 months. The silver lining is that this is great preparation for our current work reality,” said Grimmett, associate provost, LMU Career and Professional Development.
Grimmett was part of a discussion on the changing workforce and labor shortages that included representatives from KPMG, the law firm King and Spalding, and startup company Sorbet.
A frequent conference presenter and speaker, Grimmett specializes in inclusive leadership, implicit bias mitigation, employability and student career development. He oversees the office responsible for successfully launching LMU undergraduate and graduate students into their professional careers.
