In late July, LMU’s Center for Asian Business hosted a weeklong training program for MBA students from Yonsei University, a premier university in Seoul, South Korea. For the fourth consecutive year, LMU has provided this customized program for Yonsei students on “Innovation in the Entertainment Industry.”
Yonsei students attended morning lectures by LMU professors and afternoon visits to local entertainment companies. Compelling lectures included “The Art and Science of Brand Storytelling” by Julian Saint Clair, professor of marketing; “The Ever-Changing Business of Entertainment” by Steve Rossmann, senior director of entertainment at United Entertainment Group and adjunct professor of marketing; “The Art and Craft of World Building” by Susan Scheibler, LMU associate professor of film and television studies; and “Global Talent Management: Implications for Korean Companies” by Yongsun Paik, Center for Asian Business director and professor of international business & management. In the afternoons, students visited Electronic Arts, 21st Century Fox, IMAX and Hulu.
A farewell lunch reception and awards ceremony took place at the end of the program.
