Luciano Enzo Manifredi Console, a junior physics major, received the Marshall Sauceda Rising Scholar Award last year. This award recognizes an emerging undergraduate researcher or creative artist in the ACE program.
Luciano presented two research projects that explored new information on gravitational fields in space known as black holes. Also, last semester, Luciano presented his research to physics students and scholars at the National Council on Undergraduate Research Conference in Asheville, North Carolina.
He recalled, “It was a great experience! I got the chance to immerse myself into the physics community from all around the country.” Luciano is currently awaiting publication of his research. He hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in physics at MIT or Cal Tech.
