This fall, LMU’s College of Business Administration welcomed Jonathan Adrias as its new senior director of development. Jonathan works closely with Dean Dayle Smith to engage key stakeholders and advance the college’s fundraising goals and priorities.
“I am thrilled to join a vibrant CBA community of faculty, staff, friends, students, and alumni who take pride and joy in being part of LMU,” he said. “I am personally inspired by the mission of our college, as it aligns with my personal values, making me very excited to dive headfirst into all things LMU.”
In just a few short months, Jonathan has already forged significant connections in CBA, including procuring a deeply impactful seven-figure gift to impact our students in perpetuity, traveling to Dallas to meet with alumni, meeting the parents of incoming students at a Lion Family Send-Off in Irvine, and establishing relationships with our faculty and academic leadership.
Jonathan is optimistic about the comprehensive capital campaign and is partnering with Dean Smith and University Advancement to achieve transformative impact for LMU.
“We are delighted to welcome Jonathan to the CBA team,” said Smith. “His exceptional talent, extensive experience, and positive energy will undoubtedly elevate the college and propel our mission forward.”
Jonathan brings 12 years of experience in higher education and comes to LMU from his alma mater, Cal State University, Northridge, where he served as director of development for the Nazarian College of Business & Economics. He also worked as associate director of development for UCLA’s School of Nursing and served in other roles for CSUN’s Office of Alumni Relations.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has been known for building solid relationships. “I believe I have forged authentic connections with donor bases across my universities, and living in the philanthropy world, this has helped me a lot,” he said. “I treat everyone with kindness and view myself as a lifelong learner, so I look forward to meeting more folks in the LMU universe and learning as much as possible.”
In his spare time, Jonathan loves hanging out with his playful golden retriever, Jake. On weekends, he enjoys hitting the trails for hiking and backpacking, camping in the woods, practicing yoga, and playing beach volleyball.
