Technology and artificial intelligence have disrupted the technological landscape in ways that were previously unimaginable. But how will advances in tech impact the environment, and what role will business play in its development?
Loyola Marymount University’s “Innovation Symposium: Shaping the ClimateTech Transformation” seeks to address these pressing questions using the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities to inform students, faculty, and professionals on how we can best shape a sustainable future.
Featuring keynotes and panels, the symposium will bring together industry leaders, academic experts, and innovative thinkers to explore the transformative power of technology and innovation in addressing climate change, advancing AI, and leveraging data analytics.
“The LMU Innovation Symposium continues to be a vital platform for addressing pressing issues,” said Jody Skenderian, LMU executive director of Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives. “This year, we are excited to focus on the intersection of business, technology, and climate, showcasing how these sectors can collaboratively shape a sustainable future.”
Since its inception in 2022, the LMU Innovation Symposium has been spearheaded by the LMU College of Business Administration and External Relations, with support from the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA). The Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering joins this year’s symposium to deepen our collective understanding of climate change and discover viable solutions to its persistent challenges.
“With technology advancing and AI driving higher processing needs, this symposium will act as a think tank to help businesses shape a future focused on the environment.” notes Ana Mangal, LMU clinical associate professor of Information Systems and Business Analytics.
