Each year, a cohort of 20 recent grads and young alumni get the opportunity to develop the first projects of their careers under the stewardship of industry professionals as part of SFTV’s Incubator Lab. Administered by both SFTV and Film Independent – the nonprofit organization that produces the Spirit Awards and L.A. Film Fest–this one-year program provides emerging filmmakers with resources and tools to help build creative portfolios and transition into the industry. Whether you’re working on a screenplay, short or feature film, TV pilot, documentary or a related media project, the Incubator Lab can help you take the next steps creatively and professionally through mentorship opportunities, exclusive educational sessions, access to state-of-the-art equipment and more.
The School of Film and Television is now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Incubator Lab. All SFTV undergraduate and graduate students who will be graduating this year, and alumni who have graduated between 2011-2013 are eligible to apply.
