Gidden Media is a production company based in Beverly Hills run by a long time senior studio executive with multiple projects in development this spring. They also have LMU alum working on staff. The company is a content creator for the proliferating distribution platforms – theatrical, television, & digital – with a focus on commercial mid-budget films. Gidden Media is looking for 1-2 Administrative/Development Interns.
Responsibilities include reading material (scripts, books, articles, etc.), writing coverage, general phone duties, list making, research, checking talent availability, and additional administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, exercise good judgment, strong work ethic, and be personable. The internship will be a structured program with the end goal of landing the intern a permanent PAID job in the industry at the end of the session. Interns will learn how to write coverage, become familiar with the industry players, learn the nuts and bolts of developing and producing a project as well as the industry administrative skills required to land an assistant job. This is an unpaid internship lasting 2-3 months with at least 2-3 days a week. The company is new and thus there could be opportunity internally. At the end of their run, interns would have the support of the company’s president who has been in the motion picture business for over 20 years.
