Emmy award-winning writer and producer Emily Spivey (Screenwriting – M.F.A. ’96) has inked a two-year contract with ABC’s multiple Emmy-winning show, Modern Family. Executive producer Danny Zuker announced the news Monday via Twitter, saying, “Attention world: @spivey_e has joined the writing staff of Modern Family! Follow her now! She wrote your favorite SNL sketches!”
Spivey created Up All Night and has written for such shows as Saturday Night Live, Parks and Recreation and MADtv, among others.
