

Lauren Casella, Ed.D. Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Administration leads the Catholic School Leadership Academy as an academic program director.
As a clinical professor, local school board member, consultant, and parent in Catholic education, Dr. Casella engages in deep work around social and emotional learning and spiritual growth for children and adults specifically in the context of Catholic education.
Recently, Dr. Casella authored an article for the National Catholic Education Association’s Momentum Magazine entitled: Supporting our Spiritual, Social, and Emotional Growth and served as a keynote perspectives speaker for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles C3 Technology Conference.
Casella is the current president (2020-21) of Catholic Higher Education Supporting Catholic Schools (CHESCS). CHESCS brings together resources and influence of Catholic institutions of higher education to partner with and strengthen P-12 Catholic schooling through research, teaching and leadership programs, professional development, and advocacy.
