

Taylor Mercado (Civil Engineering, 2018), Joshua Ocana (Mathematics, 2018) and Kaitlyn Yee (Biology, 2018) are LMU’s 2016-17 Noyce Scholars. Lion’s Roar, LMU’s Robert Noyce Scholarship Program is funded by the National Science Foundations and is designed to encourage talented STEM majors with a passion for their subject to pursue careers in K-12 teaching, and to provide them with the skills and support they need to become effective teachers. The Noyce scholars have committed to earning their high school teaching credential and teaching in a high-need school district for two years.
