CineStory is a U.S Non-Profit dedicated to nurturing emerging screenwriters through mentorship programs. Winners of our competition have gone on to pen films such as IRON MAN, THE CHILDREN OF MEN, BALLAST, KING OF CALIFORNIA and 11:14.
Our mentors are all committed industry professionals who work with alumni to raise the level of their craft and enhance the marketability of their projects. CineStory was founded in 1995 as a way to bring promising new screenwriters together with working Hollywood professionals.
As a non-profit organization, CineStory is devoted to nurturing screenwriters in a non-commercial, creative and inspiring environment. All of its mentors are professionals currently working in Hollywood and all donate their time to CineStory’s mentorship programs.
One of the main goals of the CineStory Screenwriting Awards is to select up-and-coming screenwriters for the exclusive CineStory Writers’ Retreat, a four-day intensive program held in the Fall.
For four days, attendees enjoy direct access to working Hollywood professionals. They receive career and craft advice from some of the best in the business – a truly unique opportunity.
