The Apathy Effect was a multimedia exhibit, co-sponsored by CFA, which showcased the resilience of young survivors of human trafficking, immersing viewers in the stories of these survivors. Featuring a combination of video, audio, large-scale photographs, stories and objects, the exhibit hoped to not only educate viewers, but also to challenge them to empathize on a personal level with the victims of human trafficking. The exhibition was on view in St. Roberts Auditorium for three days in early October, and was free and open to all.
The Apathy Effect was sponsored by Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Office, Office of the Senior Vice President of Students Affairs, College of Communication and Fine Arts, Loyola Law School, Marymount Institute for Faith, Culture, and Arts, Center for Reconciliation and Justice, Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, Department of Sociology, and Department of Theological Studies.
