U.S. News & World Report released its 2016 “Best Colleges” rankings and it was a banner year for specialty programs in LMU’s College of Business Administration.
Entrepreneurship ranked #7 in the nation (up from #23); Marketing came in strong at #14 (up from #26) and Accounting improved to #19 (up from #31). The overall undergraduate business program stayed the same at #93 and LMU kept its #3 ranking of best university in the West.
“As a result of these national recognitions, our brand awareness and reputation as a college has grown among premier business programs,” said Dennis Draper, dean of LMU’s College of Business Administration. “These rankings reflect the commitment and investment of our faculty to academic excellence and are a testament to the high caliber of our entrepreneurship, marketing and accounting programs — and the students who enroll.”
What helps distinguish LMU’s College of Business Administration are the learning opportunities right here in Los Angeles – the merging of academia and industry. Business students have the opportunity to launch startups in neighboring Silicon Beach, garner internships and full-time positions with top accounting firms, and collaborate on innovative projects to strengthen partnerships with the LA advertising and marketing community.
“Our prime location in Los Angeles, one of the most dynamic cities in the world, coupled with a strong focus on academic excellence and Jesuit traditions, separates us from our competitors,” added Draper.
