Danny and his wife Ly started the Le Family Endowed Faculty Opportunity Fund. This fund gives Dean Smith the ability to award one faculty member per year with special funding to advance his/her research, coursework and scholarly footprint.
“I started this fund because what I remember most about getting two degrees from LMU was how much the faculty cared about my experience and my success,” said Le. “The interpersonal dynamic between teacher and student is what sets LMU apart from other schools; and made a positive impact on my professional career.”
Danny currently serves as a partner in KPMG’s Advisory Practice in Los Angeles with specialization in the media and technology sector. He brings over 20 years of experience in helping clients take advantage of regulatory and industry changes as well as transforming business operations across multiple markets around the world. Danny was one of the founding partners of KPMG’s Cyber Security Practice in 1996. In 2005, he moved to Beijing to help KPMG develop the consulting practice in China as well as across Asia. Danny assisted multinational companies to enter and grow their business in China. He also worked closely with local Chinese state-owned-enterprises to transform and go global. Danny came back to Los Angeles in 2015 to lead a global account for KPMG, focus on family and support the LMU community.
Danny earned his bachelor’s degree and his MBA from Loyola Marymount University and serves on the new Dean’s Executive Council.
