The Los Angeles Film Festival is a premiere event designed to rekindle the excitement and glamour of storytelling in LA by showcasing compelling new independent films, TV, emerging online content, and the most anticipated studio titles of the summer to more than 90,000 attendees each year. The Festival converges independent artists and fosters valuable alliances and working relationships with executives in the film industry, studio system, and each other.
The Festival’s signature programs include the Filmmaker Retreat, Music in Film Nights at the GRAMMY Museum, Coffee Talks, Master Classes, the Spirit of Independence Award, and Fast Track, a film financing market. Select films are eligible for multiple Jury and Audience Awards at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
Selection to the LA Film Festival qualifies films for prestigious award nominations, including:
- Film Independent Spirit Awards (for feature-length films)
- Cinema Eye Honors for Non-Fiction Filmmaking
Los Angeles Film Festival is an Academy Awards® Qualifier in the Narrative Short, Animated Short or Documentary Short Film categories
