CineStory is a U.S Non-Profit dedicated to nurturing emerging screenwriters through mentorship programs. Our mentors are all committed industry professionals who work with alumni to raise the level of their craft and enhance the marketability of their projects. CineStory mentors include key creative personnel behind such films as COWBOYS AND ALIENS, IRON MAN, THE CHILDREN OF MEN, FRACTURE, MAD MONEY, THE DANGEROUS LIVES OF ALTAR BOYS, FIREWALL, FINDING NEVERLAND, BAND OF BROTHERS, THE PACIFIC, WIT, NINE LIVES, PETER PAN, EVENT HORIZON, FINAL DESTINATION and many others.
CineStory was founded in 1995 as a way to bring promising new screenwriters together with working Hollywood professionals. As a non-profit organization, CineStory is devoted to nurturing screenwriters in a non-commercial, creative and inspiring environment. All of its mentors are professionals currently working in Hollywood and all donate their time to CineStory’s mentorship programs. One of the main goals is to discover 25 up-and-coming screenwriters for the exclusive CineStory Writers’ Retreat, a four-day intensive program held in the Fall.
One writer will receive a year long Fellowship where you’ll work hand in hand with two Mentors along with a $10,000 cash prize.
THE CINESTORY WRITERS’ RETREAT
CineStory’s Retreat is dedicated to the advancement of great new voices in screenwriting. Retreat attendees are chosen from our yearly submission process.
Although its primary focus is on developing their craft, writers attending the Retreat have landed representation, optioned material and gained writing assignments, as well as making ongoing connections with executives, producers, managers, agents and pro writers.
For four days, attendees enjoy direct access to working Hollywood professionals. They receive career and craft advice from some of the best in the business – a truly unique opportunity.
