Biology Major Delivers Winning Poem at Presidential Inauguration

As winner of the presidential inauguration poetry contest, biology major Emily Simso, ’17 recited her poem at President Timothy Law Snyder’s inauguration on Oct. 6. Contestants were asked to submit poems celebrating LMU’s past and imagining LMU’s future, reflecting on the world of LMU as well as LMU in the world. The theme of the inauguration was “imagine.”
