For as long as she can remember, Chloe Hall has been a people person with a passion for understanding different cultures.
Hall was born in Toronto, Canada and made her way to Los Angeles to attend LMU and play women’s basketball. In her junior year, she further expanded her worldview by participating in the study abroad program and working in the Office for International Students and Scholars, where she coordinated the International Orientation program.
Hall is now looking forward to applying her global perspective as an analyst at Clearsulting, a business consulting firm that values global experience, collaboration, and innovation.
“I hope to utilize my knowledge of both French and Spanish to travel the world working with clients from all walks of life. One day I hope to lead the global sector within my company.”
Her first order of business will be implementing Blackline, a software that automates and standardizes the reconciliation process. She’s also eager to hone her skills in project and client management.
Hall credits her liberal arts education for helping her to grow academically and as a person. “I am graduating with a mindset that allows me to value multiple viewpoints,” she says. “I believe my positive approach to learning and drive to overcome any obstacle has prepared me well for my future career.”
The Office of Career and Professional Development (CPD) played a key role in ensuring that Hall was successful in her career search. “CPD has been my ‘second home’ for the past three months; helping me with my résumé, LinkedIn, and also challenging me to think outside of the box.”
Hall devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy to finding the right position and company culture. She attended both the LMU Career Fair and BCLA’s Career Chats, both offered through CPD, where she made connections and set up informational interviews. In fact, the LMU Career Fair is where she discovered Clearsulting.
“I am humbled and thrilled to have a job lined up after graduation. I want everyone to know that in order to land that first job it truly takes time and dedication, but once you sign that offer letter and see all of your hard work paying off, it is quite possibly one of the most rewarding feelings in the world.”
