
Melissa Zeiher ’09 is making plans to move to Argentina, where she will serve on a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship. There, she will spend nine months teaching English at the University of San Juan and volunteering with a human rights organization.
Zeiher was a Spanish major at LMU in the Modern Languages and Literatures Department.
Since graduating from LMU, Zeiher has been teaching AP and Honors Spanish at El Segundo High School, where she led a high school study abroad program in Spain and scored AP exams. She earned a master’s degree in bilingual education in 2012. She has also served as an instructor at Pepperdine, and conducted interviews in Argentina as a translator for the documentary Circle of Poison.
