
Karla Domier, a 1981 graduate of LMU’s School of Education, has been named the 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year for the San Marino Unified School District, California’s first-ranked unified school district.
Domier, a first-grade teacher at Carver Elementary – Niche.com’s top-rated elementary school in Southern California – has spent her entire teaching career in San Marino, having herself graduated from Huntington Middle School and San Marino High School before attending Loyola Marymount University.
Now in her 39th year as an educator, Domier was acknowledged as the Teacher of the Year in a ceremony held at the District’s annual breakfast on the campus of San Marino High School.
Domier is the proud mother of LMU alum, Erin Domier Herman, ’08, BA Liberal Arts.
