Last week, SFTV celebrated the Class of 2021 with virtual receptions, department events, and more, but no celebration captures what our community is all about other than the SFTV Departmental Awards.
An end-of-the-year tradition, the evening honors students in each program department at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, recognizing outstanding accomplishments in academic achievement, creativity, and service to the entire community.
Heartfelt and intimate, the ceremony this year was held virtually and live, lending family and friends the chance to join in congratulating the honorees. “Don’t think of tonight as a finale,” encouraged Interim Dean Bryant K. Alexander at the evening’s conclusion. “Instead, consider what you’ve made here at SFTV as the beginning of your next chapter. There are many wonderful opportunities to share your work with the world.”
