The Center for Asian Business is pleased to announce the 2019 faculty summer research grant recipients:
- Christopher Finlay, Ph.D., associate professor of communication studies, received the Cheon Fellowship for his research titled “The 2018 Olympics as P3 Diplomacy.”
- Zining Li, Ph.D., assistant professor of accounting, received the Moon Fellowship for her research titled “Does Increased Flexibility under International Financial Reporting Standards improve Accounting Quality?”
- Aidin Namin, Ph.D., assistant professor of marketing, received the Cheon Fellowship for his research titled “A Segmentation Analysis of American Consumers’ Choice towards Korean products.”
- Hai Tran, Ph.D., assistant professor of finance, received the Moon Fellowship for his research titled “The Threat of War and Prospects for Peace: Stock Market Reactions to Tensions on the Korean Peninsula.”
- Sijun Wang, Ph.D., professor of marketing, received the Min Fellowship for her research titled “Fine-tuning Branding Strategies in the Battle with Consumer Animosity.”
This is the 14th year the center has provided grants to LMU faculty.
