On September 20, 2017, the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies hosted its annual Fall Welcome. Special guest author Carina Chocano spoke and read excerpts from her book “You Play the Girl – On Playboy Bunnies, Stepford Wives, Train Wrecks, & Other Mixed Messages,” and LMU alumni (Melissa Iriarte, Miriam Vega, Sofia Espinoza and Stacy Trujeque) talked to students about how the degree in Women’s and Gender Studies has helped them in their careers and personal lives.
