Loyola Marymount University’s 14th annual Guitar Festival featuring concerts, workshops and performances by young musicians will take place on Friday, March 23, and Saturday, March 24, on the Westchester campus.
The festival will kick off at 4 p.m. Friday with a masterclass by award-winning guitarist Dimitri Illarionov, followed by an 8pm performance by Martha Masters, who is on the guitar faculty at LMU.
On Saturday, the festival will feature an 11 a.m. youth showcase and afternoon concerts by guitarist Ryan Ayers, an LMU graduate, and Illarionov. In addition to the performances, the festival will offer a vendor and luthier fair.
The Annual LMU Guitar Festival is presented by the Department of Music in LMU’s College of Communication and Fine Arts. All performances will take place in Murphy Recital Hall.
