Twice a year, LMU Loyola Law School’s Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic (LSJLC) hosts the Experiential Learning Fair, an opportunity for law students to explore all of LLS’ experiential learning programs offered the following semester.
This week, a slate of sessions held via Zoom will provide students with information on the myriad experiential-training opportunities available in spring 2023 and how to apply. Admission to most clinics and practica are by application only, with applications opening on Sept. 30. Students need a Career Development Office (CDO) approved resume to apply, so early review by a CDO counselor is highly encouraged.
Students may use these open sessions to explore the law school’s unparalleled opportunities to practice lawyering skills. Featured programs include the Collateral Consequences of Conviction Justice Project, Youth Justice Education Policy Practicum, Employment Rights Clinic, Legal Tech & Access to Justice Practicum, Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution, Loyola Genocide Justice Clinic, Poehls/Hobbs DA Practicum, Field Placements, RISE Clinic, Shriver Landlord-Tenant Clinic, Entertainment Law Practicum, Federal Public Defender Death Penalty Clinic, Transactional Lawyering Team, Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic, Sales/Use Tax Clinic, and the State Income Tax Clinic.
