UNIVERSITY NEWS | Taking final exams and preparing final projects can be a stressful time of the year for students. The William H. Hannon Library, FitWell, and Campus Safety Services have partnered to bring students stress-relieving activities for Feel Good Finals from Dec. 7-17.
There are so many ways to take time for yourself, practice self-care, and finish the semester strong from yoga with goats, snacks, study spaces, and massages. In-person at the library will be areas for coloring, origami, and puzzles. Be on the lookout for therapy animals (the goats!), our traveling snack cart, and more.
FitWell will also be offering 25-minute massages in the Burns Recreation Center for students only starting Dec. 8. Imagine coming back into the world calm and invigorated. Re-discover a sense of well-being that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. Enjoy an experience that will allow you to attain calmness and relaxation while relieving muscle soreness, tension, and stress from your body. Appointments are available here.

Tips for Success
It’s necessary to take care of yourself to deal with the daily stress and challenges of the end of the semester finals. According to an article on Very Well Mind, many people see self-care as a “luxury.” It shouldn’t be. Remember to take care of yourself during these stressful times. Check out these tips to help you stay calm and focused during this time of year.

Studying at home or off-campus, but still want to feel like you’re in Hannon Library? Then check out our selection of “slow time” videos featuring relaxing locations throughout the library. Add your own soundtrack (or one of ours) and finish those projects, Lions.
Destress with Animal Livestream Cams
Sometimes, it feels good to sit back and watch animals play all day. Here’s a selection of critters across air, land, and sea for your live-streaming pleasure. Note: these videos stream from various time zones, so don’t be surprised if you drop into a scheduled nap time.
Send a Note: Encourage Your Friends
Support your friends and classmates by sending them one of these digital “Lion Lyricals.” Save the image to your phone/desktop and DM it to someone who needs some encouragement. If you prefer to [snail] mail a physical note, stop by level 1 of the library and pick up one of our custom postcards. We’ll even cover the stamp and shipping cost for you.
Need a challenge?
Choose any of the challenges here and post your content to Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok using the hashtag #LMULibraryChallenge. You’ll be entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card (by Dec. 17). Challenges include things like drawing a self-portrait on a study room whiteboard wall, posting a selfie wearing an LMU library T-shirt, or creating a meme about the LMU library.
