The Associated Students of Loyola Marymount University invites the community to campus to kick off the 2024 holiday season with a beloved tradition, the annual ASLMU Christmas Tree lighting. Co-sponsored this year by GSLMU, the festivities begin on Friday, Dec. 6, from 5-8 p.m. on Regents Terrace. This event is open to students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the Westchester community.
Don’t miss your chance to grab the coveted tree-lighting mug for hot cocoa. The line for mug distribution for undergraduate students, staff, and faculty will begin at 4 p.m. in Sunken Garden. Graduate students can pick up their mugs on St. Robert’s Lawn.
Food trucks will be onsite with food and sweet dessert options available for purchase (OneCards or Flexi will not be accepted):
- 8E8 Thai
- Beachy’s
- Pickles and Peas
- Okamoto
- Churro Boss
- Drizzle.
Other festivities include a train ride, photos with Santa, a photo booth, four student vendors, three craft stations, Christmas floral arrangements available for purchase, and a wreath-making station. And, of course, free cookies, hot cocoa, and hot cider will be available to enjoy as well.
