On Saturday, Sept. 10, Lions logging into Workday can expect to see a few minor design changes to the interface and main dashboard. These updates are part of Workday’s regularly scheduled feature release, and are intended to help make business processes more intuitive and navigating Workday easier.
The upcoming changes include:
New “Your Top Apps” Section
This new section simplifies how you access your most-used tasks and worklets displayed on the main Workday dashboard.
- Your Top Apps will display the first 4 applications displayed in the Global Navigation menu.
- You can click Menu >> Apps to add or edit which applications are shown. Changes will display once you hit “save” and refresh the home page.
- “View All Apps”, located just below your top apps, will take you to all other applications available in Workday.
“Awaiting Your Action” Inbox Highlights
This new section highlights processes in your inbox that are awaiting your action. You’ll see the top three items requiring your immediate attention, with a “go to all inbox items” button to view the rest of your inbox.
Workday Learning is Now Connected to LinkedIn Learning
LMU faculty and staff now have access to LinkedIn Learning via Workday. View thousands of professional development courses that span a wide variety of topics including business, creative and technology skills. To access, go to MYLMU and select the “Accounts & Tech” dropdown menu >> click on LinkedIn Learning (faculty/staff).
Coming This Fall: Additional Workday Training Workshops
Additional Workday workshops will be available during the fall semester, including topics on expense reports, purchasing, LMU P-cards, and more. Check back in future LMU This Week editions for the full schedule announcement. For now, you can refer to reference guides in the Workday Support app (life buoy icon) on the Workday dashboard.
Need Help?
Continuing support resources can be found under the Workday Support app (life buoy icon) on the dashboard, or by submitting a Workday Service Now ticket.
