The LMU community is invited to an on-campus U.S. Senate candidate debate watch party on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the VDA Welcome Center. LMU is a partner with NBC4 and Telemundo 52 for the one-hour debate featuring four top-polling candidates – Rep. Adam Schiff, Rep. Barbara Lee, Rep. Katie Porter, and Steve Garvey – running to represent California in the U.S. Senate.
Fernando J. Guerra, professor of political science and Chicana/o studies and founding director of the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles, will represent LMU as a contributor, and several LMU students have been selected to ask the candidates questions.
