EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT | If an earthquake or other natural disaster happens tomorrow, are you prepared?
QuakeFest, LMU’s annual emergency preparedness fair, is the perfect opportunity to meet with community partners like LAPD and LAFD and learn how to plan for any emergency.
QuakeFest 2019 will be held in Lawton Plaza on Thursday, Oct. 17 from noon – 2 p.m. In addition to meeting first responders and other exhibitors, all Lions are invited to:
- Grab tacos and churros at the Border Grill food truck
- Snap your photo with Iggy the Lion
- Play games and win prizes
- Pick up free giveaways
LMU’s emergency preparedness fair is held in conjunction with the Great ShakeOut earthquake drill. Join over 15 million people worldwide and practice your Drop, Cover, and Hold On at 10:17 a.m. and 6:17 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Ahead of the Great ShakeOut, members of the LMU community are encouraged to review the following earthquake resources:
