LMU’s pride grows this week as the university prepares to welcome incoming first-year, transfer, and graduate students to campus!
Undergraduate Orientation Activities:
New students are scheduled to begin arriving on Wednesday, Aug. 23, and will have a full slate of activities to attend through Sunday, Aug. 27.
Detailed information regarding LMU’s New Student Orientation events can be found at orientation.lmu.edu. This extensive schedule provides a breakdown of required and optional opportunities available to new students and their families throughout the week.
Additionally, we anticipate that move-in activities and the required orientation events will influence traffic and parking on campus from Wednesday, Aug. 23, through Friday, Aug. 25. We encourage faculty and staff to plan travel to and from campus accordingly on those dates.
Graduate Orientation Activities:
Virtual Graduate Orientation kicked off welcome activities this past Saturday. Incoming students were joined by Provost Poon and AVP for Graduate Enrollment Ammar Dalal for welcome remarks, then moved into introductory sessions hosted by each academic program.
The celebration continues in person on Saturday, Aug. 26, with GSLMU’s Fall Welcome on Rosehill Terrace (2nd Floor of the Featherston Life Science Building) at 4 p.m. New students will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with continuing graduate students and LMU faculty. Questions about the event can be directed to graduateadmission@lmu.edu.
