UNIVERSITY BULLETINS | Loyola Marymount University (LMU) is committed to the welfare and safety of all persons who participate in university sponsored events. Minors are a particularly vulnerable population; therefore, LMU takes extra precautions to protect Minors who participate in Covered Programs. LMU has adopted a Minors on Campus policy to establish safeguards for persons under the age of 18 (minors) who participate in LMU activities and programs intended for minors on campus or under the authority and direction of the university at other locations. A number of basic requirements, including program registration, training, criminal background checks, must be met for activities and programs involving minors covered under this policy. This policy is effective for LMU activities and programs beginning Spring 2020. Risk Management is available to answer questions about the new Minors on Campus policy and to provide guidance to new and existing youth programs about this policy.
