Reflecting the growth of Loyola Marymount University and the complexity and number of events being held on campus, a new area, University Events, will comprise two functions: Conference and Event Services and newly created Signature Events. University Events will function as one team with two areas supporting all events at LMU.
Signature Events will be led by Trish Carlson, senior director of Signature Events. Carlson, with over two decades of event management experience, will provide leadership to such events as Commencement, presidential events, and signature events on a similar scale to the recent Democratic National Committee debates and the Los Angeles Rams training camp. The creation of the Signature Events arm will help the university partner with visiting organizations to activate additional opportunities for student internships, academic research, donor engagement, generate revenue streams, and more.
Both entities of University Events will report to Trevor Wiseman, vice president for Operations.
