I am pleased to announce that Audra Verrier, Ph.D., has joined Loyola Marymount University as Associate Vice Provost for Career and Professional Development, effective Jan. 9, 2023. She comes to LMU from Sonoma State University, where she was the director of Career and Leadership Development.

AVP Verrier has been a leader in higher education for the past 20 years, managing departments and teams that focus on career preparation, leadership development, experiential learning, and community engagement. She is passionate about equity and inclusion, advocating for programs and services that provide access for all with a focus on antiracist program development and first-generation students.
As LMU’s AVP for Career and Professional Development, she will lead the invaluable team of full-time professionals and student-peer advisors responsible for launching LMU students into successful post-graduate lives. Her wealth of experience as an educator on topics such as strategic planning, organizational development, the psychology of leadership, ecopsychology and systems thinking, and professional development will be integral in continuing to build upon LMU’s reputation for providing transformative career planning resources and guidance to our students and championing the positive outcomes of an LMU education.
AVP Verrier earned her Ph.D. in psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, her M.S. in organizational management from the School for International Training, and her B.A. in sociology from Castleton University.
