
Daniel Marschner, Ph.D., LMU director of International Admission and Outreach, is the president-elect of the International Association for College Admission Counseling.
An accomplished international admission and enrollment professional, Marschner has more than 15 years of experience in higher education. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati, where he focused on the cultural acclimation process for international students to the U.S.
International ACAC’s mission is to facilitate global interaction among counselors and institutions in support of secondary students transitioning to higher education while promoting professional standards that foster ethical and social responsibility. The association serves as a resource for college admission counselors and includes a membership of more than 4,000 people, representing 140+ countries and 1,500 unique institutions and organizations.
Marschner has been a member of International ACAC for more than 12 years, serving on the executive board in a variety of elected positions, including most recently as vice president for Advocacy and Outreach. His new position is a three-year term; he will serve as president-elect beginning July 1, 2025, then assume the role of association president for the 2026-27 academic year, and then as past president for the 2027-28 academic year.
