The LMU community will celebrate and honor the work of student employees from April 13-17 with a merch giveaway, an in-person job fair for summer and fall, and awards to honor student employees and student supervisors of the year.
On average, Loyola Marymount University employs during the academic year about 3,400 students who work an average of 8-10 hours a week in about 4,700 jobs across all departments on campus. Student employees support every part of campus operations from the recycling yard to the recreation center and office support to event setup.
Hosted by Student Employment Services (SES), the weeklong celebrations include:
Monday, April 13, Palm Walk, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thank You Student Employees: Merch Giveaway
SES gave away special merchandise and ice cream to student employees as a thank you for the work they do across campus. This is a great way to meet SES professional staff while learning more about on-campus work opportunities and upcoming events.
Tuesday, April 14, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Summer/Fall 2026 Job Fair
SES will be hosting an In-Person Job Fair to connect all hiring employers with students who are looking for employment opportunities for summer and fall 2026 terms.
This is a chance to learn more about valuable work experience across campus and to speak directly to employers. Come down to learn about both non-work study and work-study job opportunities and life as a Working Lion.
Friday, April 17, Roski Dining Hall, noon to 1:30 p.m.
