LMU celebrates Latino/a/e/x Heritage Month through Oct. 15 with special events like an evening playing Loteria, the Justice Cup soccer tournament, a student art exhibit in the library, a 25th-anniversary celebration of Serenata de Trios, and more.
“Together, we celebrate the rich traditions of our Latine culture through learning more about our identities and our heritage,” said Claudio Rodriguez, director of CLSS. Latino/a/e/x Heritage Month celebrated from Sept. 15-Oct. 15, honors the culture and traditions of Latin America. While celebrating Latino/a/e/x culture all year long, join Chicano Latino Student Services for a month of events to celebrate and be in the community with one another. “This month is a celebration and a reminder of how we are stronger together in the community because of our shared stories and how they help inspire each of us,” said Rodriguez.
Chicano Latino Student Services kicks off the Latino/a/e/x Heritage Month with a special Lion’s Den coffee shop drink called the Caramel Drizzle Horchata Freeze, available for purchase through Sept. 23. For the full calendar of events, visit the CLSS LEO page.
