Jennifer Khong has joined Loyola Marymount University as of May 19, 2025, as senior director of risk management, better known as the university risk manager, the LMU Finance Division announced.

Khong takes over for Doug Moore, who is retiring June 30 after 17 years of service to the university. His efforts have been pivotal in developing and implementing effective risk management strategies that ensure the safety of our campus. Moore’s expertise and professionalism have earned him the respect of countless colleagues, making him a valued member of the LMU community.
Khong brings to LMU over two decades of experience in enterprise risk management, insurance strategy, and financial planning, with leadership roles at organizations such as Novavax, Virgin Orbit, and Toyota Motor Insurance Services. She has a track record of designing and implementing risk frameworks, managing global insurance portfolios, and collaborating with regulatory agencies to support operational resilience and compliance.
The university risk manager is a high-profile position, putting Khong in close cooperation with numerous departments at the Westchester, Playa Vista, and LMU Loyola Law School campuses. She will make a point over the next few months introducing herself and building those working relationships.
Patrick Hogan, vice president for financial planning, budgets, and strategic transactions, said, “Jennifer’s expertise and forward-thinking approach will be instrumental in strengthening LMU’s enterprise risk management program and supporting the university’s long-term strategic goals.”
