Loyola Marymount University, as one of the sponsored apostolates of the USA West Province of the Society of Jesus, welcomes Provincial Sean Carroll, S.J., and Robert Niehoff, S.J., the provincial liaison to higher education, for their annual visit to the university.
The purpose of these visits is to have conversations about emerging trends within our common Ignatian intellectual and spiritual traditions. This year, Provincial Carroll and Father Niehoff will meet with members of our campus community from April 29 – May 9. They will also participate in various parts of the joint retreat for the Trustees and Regents.
Provincial Carroll will visit each Jesuit assigned to the university and living in the Jesuit community. These annual manifestations afford the provincial superior the opportunity to support each Jesuit and provide valuable information about possible future assignments as he weighs the needs of the various works and initiatives of the province. Provincial Carroll and Father Niehoff said they are grateful for the many people who will give some of their time and thoughtful reflection on how we animate the Ignatian intellectual and spiritual traditions on campus while visiting LMU.
